DIRECTIONS TO FIELDS   

 

LEXINGTON:  CLARKE SCHOOL FIELD

FROM ROUTE 95 (RT. 128) NORTH OR SOUTH, TAKE EXIT 30A ONTO RT. 2A EAST TOWARDS LEXINGTON.  STAY ON 2A FOR A LITTLE OVER 1 MILE TO 2nd TRAFFIC LIGHT (DUNKIN DONUTS ON LEFT, GAS STATION ON RIGHT), TURN RIGHT ONTO WALTHAM STREET.  CLARKE SCHOOL IS ABOUT ¼ MILE UP ON THE LEFT, TURN LEFT AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT AND INTO THE PARKING LOT, FIELD IS BEHIND THE TENNIS COURTS.

LEXINGTON:  CENTER TRACK FIELD

FROM ROUTE 95 (RT. 128) NORTH OR SOUTH, TAKE EXIT 30A ONTO RT. 2A EAST TOWARDS LEXINGTON.  ¼ MILE FROM RAMP OFF RT. 95 NORTHBOUND, JUST BEFORE AN ABANDONED GAS STATION, BEAR LEFT ONTO LINCOLN STREET.  FOLLOW TO END OF LINCOLN STREET, FIELD IS ACROSS THE STREET AND TO THE RIGHT. PARK ALONG ROAD OR IN NEARBY LOTS.

LEXINGTON:  LINCOLN PARK FIELDS

FROM ROUTE 95 (RT. 128) NORTH OR SOUTH, TAKE EXIT 30A ONTO RT. 2A EAST TOWARDS LEXINGTON.  ¼ MILE FROM RAMP OFF RT. 95 NORTHBOUND, JUST BEFORE AN ABANDONED GAS STATION, BEAR LEFT ONTO LINCOLN STREET.  FIELDS ARE ABOUT ½ MILE DOWN LINCOLN STREET ON THE RIGHT.  FIELD 1 IS THE FIRST ON THE LEFT, FIELD 2 ON THE RIGHT, AND FIELD 3 IN THE BACK. USE WHICHEVER FIELD IS AVAILABLE IF UNSURE OF ASIGNED FIELD.

LEXINGTON:  ADAMS FIELD / WALDORF SCHOOL

(739 Massachusetts Ave)

 FROM ROUTE 95 (RT. 128) NORTH OR SOUTH, TAKE EXIT 29A ONTO RT. 2 EAST TOWARDS BOSTON/CAMBRIDGE. HEADING EAST ON RT. 2, TAKE EXIT 55 PLEASANT STREET TO LEXINGTON.

 FROM BOSTON/CAMBRIDGE, TAKE RT. 2 WEST TOWARDS WALTHAM. HEADING WEST ON RT. 2, TAKE EXIT 57 ONTO RT. 225 TO LEXINGTON.

 FROM EITHER EXIT, FOLLOW A TOTAL OF ABOUT 1 MILE UNTIL RT. 225 TURNS LEFT ONTO MASS AVE, WALDORF SCHOOL IS JUST AHEAD ON RIGHT. ADAMS FIELD IS BEHIND THE SCHOOL.

CONCORD:  CUSHING FIELD

(1231 Old Marlboro Rd)

 From 128:  Take Route 2 West through Lincoln. From the Concord line where road bends left at a traffic light (Mobil station on right), go about 3 miles to third light (look for Emerson Hospital on left), turn left across Rt. 2 and then an immediate right onto Old Marlboro Rd, * wind around on Old Marlboro Rd for about 1.5 miles and past Concord Middle School on left with soccer field along the roadway, about ¼  mile ahead turn right to stay on Old Marlboro Rd, then turn left into unmarked driveway for Peabody School and entrance to wooded pathway to the field. 

 From 495:  Follow Rt. 2 about 4 miles until it merges with Rt. 111, follow about another 2 miles until you get to the Concord rotary where the state prison is, enter rotary and take your first right onto Commonwealth Avenue, go 0.9 miles and bear left onto Main Street, go about 0.3 miles and turn right onto Cottage Street, go about 0.2 miles and stay straight to merge onto Old Marlboro Rd, go about 1.4 miles on Old Marlboro Rd, past Concord Middle School on left with soccer field along the roadway, about ¼  mile ahead turn right to stay on Old Marlboro Rd, then about 0.2 miles turn left into unmarked driveway for Peabody School and entrance to wooded pathway to the field. 

 PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PARK IN THE BACK OF THE SCHOOL AND NOT ON THE STREET AS YOU WILL BE TOWED.   

TEWKSBURY: FRASCA FIELD

(133 North St, Tewksbury, MA 01876)

 From 495: Take exit 38/Route 38. Take left at bottom of ramp onto Rte. 38 South. Proceed for approximately 2.3 miles to Tewksbury Center (You will see Town Hall, common and gazebo on right). At traffic light at Pleasant Street, take left and then first left @ blinking light onto North Street. Entrance to field is on right just before railroad tracks (gate, no sign).

From 93: Take Exit 42/Dascomb Rd., Tewksbury. If coming off 93 North, take left onto Dascomb; if coming off 93 South, take left at end of ramp, then next right onto Dascomb (Dascomb becomes East Street in Tewksbury). Follow East Street for 3 miles to Tewksbury Center. As you reach the Center, take a right onto North Street (blinking yellow light); just prior to the stop sign at the end of East Street. Entrance to field is on right just before railroad tracks (gate, no sign).

WALTHAM:  GANN ACADEMY

(333 Forest Street, Waltham 02452)

 From the Mass Turnpike and the South: Take Route 128/I-95 North to Exit 28A ("Trapelo Road"). Take Trapelo Road east toward Belmont. Continue 2.3 miles on Trapelo Road to Forest Street on the right (if you pass the National Archives, you've gone about a quarter of a mile too far). Turn right onto Forest Street. The site is 0.4 miles on the left.

From the North: Take Route 128/I-95 South to Exit 28 ("Trapelo Road"). Take Trapelo Road east toward Belmont. Continue 2.3 miles on Trapelo Road to Forest Street on the right. (If you pass the National Archives, you've gone about a quarter of a mile too far.) Turn right onto Forest Street. The site is 0.4 miles on the left.

From the Cambridge/Somerville Area: From Alewife Station, take Route 2 West to Exit 59 ("Route 60"). At the end of the ramp turn left—toward Belmont—onto Route 60/Pleasant Street. Follow Route 60 through Belmont. After passing the Star Market on the left, bear right onto Trapelo Road. Continue 1.6 miles on Trapelo Road to Forest Street. (Forest Street is the third street on the left after the National Archives.) Turn left onto Forest Street. The site is 0.4 miles on the left.

WALTHAM:  WALTHAM HIGH SCHOOL

 Located at 617 Lexington Street in Waltham, there are lots of options. 1) Rt. 2 west to Waltham Street / Lexington St exit, toward Waltham on Lexington St, thru Trapelo Road intersection (VFW Post and malls), school is about 1 mile ahead on left.  2) From Rt. 95, take exit 27 for Totten Pond Road or exit 28 for Trapelo Rd, go east towards Waltham for a little over 1 mile to light at intersection of Lexington Street, school is about 1 mile south from Trapelo and a half mile north from Totten Pond. The fields are located at the very end of the high school near the gymnasiums.

  BRIGHTON:  MURRAY FIELD

 From Boston/Storrow Drive West: Past Mass Pike & Harvard Sq. exits. After Harvard Sq. exit bear left at split onto Soldier's Field Rd. Pass Harvard Stadium and TV 4 on your left, Charles River remains on your right. Take Brighton Center/Watertown exit. Stay to the left, go straight through the lights towards Brighton Center. At the 2nd light you will see Hogan's Run Pub, make a "U-turn" at the lights and go straight across into the parking lot.

 From Route 93: Rte. 93 North or South to Storrow Dr. exit. Follow directions above from Boston/Storrow Drive.

 From Route 128/Mass. Pike: Rte. 128 to Mass. Pike East to Cambridge/Brighton exit. Follow the Brighton/Allston exit which puts you on Cambridge St.  At 3rd set of lights bear right onto Lincoln St. (one block after Hess Gas Station). The road bends left and runs parallel to the Mass Pike, follow to end.  At lights (Hogan's Run Pub on corner) take right and then an immediate right into parking lot.

 Once at 70 Birmingham Pkwy: Pull into the parking lot at Hogan's Run. Park in either lot or on the street. Field is behind Building, you can see the light poles from the road.

 

WESTFORD:  PARKER VILLAGE / JACK WALSH FIELD

(88 Carlisle Road, Westford, MA 01886.)

 1.  From Route 495 South, Exit 32 (Westford/Boston Rd). Turn left at end of ramp traffic light (from North turn right, I presume). Proceed under highway & straight through traffic lights crossing Rte 110 (Littleton Rd). Continue 1.5 miles @ T-intersection with Rt. 225, turn left.

For Front Field Parking Lot, turn left 25 yards past Griffin Rd
For Rear Field Parking Lot, take left onto Griffin Rd and follow to end of
field and take a right into the back parking lot.

2.  From Route 128/95
Take the RT-4 N/RT-225 W exit, EXIT 31B, toward BEDFORD. Follow for about 2.5 miles, after Bedford Farms ice cream on you left (and the Bedford Motel) take a LEFT and continue onto Route 225 toward Carlisle/Westford. Follow Route 225 for about 8 miles to the fields on your right.

 MALDEN:        PINE BANKS PARK

 Take I-93 to Exit 32 (Rte 60).  Follow Rte 60 for approximately 2 miles, going straight across fairly major intersections of Fellsway and Highland, and into Malden Center.  At the light at Main St - (basically just past a Blockbuster and a Stop and Stop and across from a Cingular Wireless store) - take a left onto Main St (and bear left again at the 2^nd light to stay on Main St), go about 1 mile to Pine Banks Park on the right just before the Melrose line.  Park entrance is across fro man armory, go straight to the back of the park to the field.

(Please observe the following on the field: No dogs, no gum, and no butts)

 WAYLAND:    HIGH SCHOOL

 FROM BOSTON, TAKE THE PIKE WEST TO RT. 128 (RT. 95). FROM RT. 128/95 NORTH OR SOUTH, TAKE EXIT 26 ONTO RT. 20 WEST TOWARDS WESTON, FOLLOW FOR ABOUT 5 MILES INTO WAYLAND AND TO THE LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF RTS. 27 & 126.  TURN LEFT AT THIS LIGHT AND GO JUST OVER 1 MILE AND BEAR RIGHT ONTO RT. 126, THE HIGH SCHOOL IS JUST OVER ½ MILE AHEAD ON THE RIGHT, THE FIELD SHOULD BE IN THE REAR LEFT BEHIND THE TENNIS COURTS. 

 NEEDHAM: DeFAZIO PARK / JOHN McLEOD FIELD

 Take I95 / Rte 128 to exit 17, Rte 135 West towards Needham. Proceed through 1 light. DeFazio Park is then 200 yards on right. Field 1 is closest to the Golf Course hill and Field 2 is closest to the track.
Park in an orderly manner in the lot, leaving space for emergency vehicles.  There is NO PARKING on Dedham Ave, or on the neighboring streets or on the field.

 SUDBURY:    CUTTING FIELD

 FROM BOSTON, TAKE THE PIKE WEST TO RT. 128 (RT. 95) AND THEN NORTH TO EXIT 26, OR  FROM RT. 128/95 NORTH OR SOUTH, JUST TAKE EXIT 26 ONTO RT. 20 WEST TOWARDS WESTON, FOLLOW FOR ABOUT 5 MILES INTO WAYLAND AND TO THE LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF RTS. 27 & 126.  TURN RIGHT AT THIS LIGHT AND THEN IMMEDIATELY BEAR LEFT TO STAY ON RT. 27. FOLLOW  A LITTLE MORE THAN 3 MILES AND BE CAREFUL TO STAY ON RT. 27 WHEN IT TAKES A HARD RIGHT TURN, THE FIELD IS THEN ABOUT 2 MILES UP ON THE LEFT.

 WAYLAND:    ALPINE FIELD

 FROM BOSTON, TAKE THE PIKE WEST TO RT. 128 (RT. 95). FROM RT. 128/95 NORTH OR SOUTH, TAKE EXIT 26 ONTO RT. 20 WEST TOWARDS WESTON, FOLLOW FOR ABOUT 5 MILES INTO WAYLAND AND TO THE LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF RTS. 27 & 126.  TURN RIGHT AT THIS LIGHT, THEN IMMEDIATELY BEAR RIGHT ONTO RT. 126.  GO A LITTLE MORE THAN 2 MILES AND TURN LEFT ONTO SHERMANS BRIDGE ROAD, THEN TAKE FIRST LEFT ONTO ALPINE ROAD. THE FIELD IS AHEAD ON THE LEFT.

 WAYLAND:    TOWN HALL

 FROM BOSTON, TAKE THE PIKE WEST TO RT. 128 (RT. 95) AND THEN NORTH TO EXIT 26, OR FROM RT. 128/95 NORTH OR SOUTH, JUST TAKE EXIT 26 ONTO RT. 20 WEST TOWARDS WESTON, FOLLOW FOR ABOUT 5 MILES INTO WAYLAND AND TO THE LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF RTS. 27 & 126.  TURN LEFT AT THIS LIGHT AND THEN IMMEDIATE RIGHT INTO PARKING AREA FOR TOWN HALL, FIELD IS ADJACENT TO TOWN HALL.

 SOMERVILLE:   DILBOY STADIUM

 FROM BOSTON, TAKE STORROW DRIVE/SOLDIERS FIELD ROAD OR MEMORIAL DRIVE (BOTH CAN BE ACCESSED FROM THE CAMBRIDGE EXIT OFF THE MASS PIKE) TO FRESH POND PARKWAY (ROUTES 2, 3 & 16) TOWARDS ARLINGTON.  FOLLOW THROUGH LIGHT AT INTERSECTION OF HURON AVENUE AND PAST PORTER CHEVROLET ON RIGHT TO ROTARY WITH SOZIO ELECTRONICS STORE, STAY ON RTS. 2, 3, & 16 THROUGH NEXT ROTARY AT FRESH POND AND OVER BRIDGE AND PAST ALEWIFE T STATION ON LEFT, THEN STAY RIGHT ON RTS. 3 & 16 AT LIGHTS WHERE RT. 2 BEARS OFF TO THE LEFT, FOLLOW TO NEXT LIGHT (MASS. AVE), GO STRAIGHT THROUGH LIGHT ONTO RT. 16, FIELD IS ¾ MILE AHEAD ON LEFT.  GO PAST THE FIELD FOR PARKING, EITHER IN THE FIRST LOT BEFORE THE STADIUM IF GATE IS OPEN, OTHERWISE GO PAST THE STADIUM AND USE THE NEXT LARGER LOT ON LEFT.

 FROM OUTSIDE CITY, TAKE ROUTE 2 EAST FROM RT. 95 (RT. 128) TO WHERE HIGHWAY ENDS, STAY LEFT ONTO RTS. 3 & 16 TOWARDS SOMERVILLE/MEDFORD, STRAIGHT THROUGH LIGHT AT MASS. AVE. ONTO RT. 16, FIELD IS ¾ MILE AHEAD ON LEFT.  GO PAST THE FIELD FOR PARKING, EITHER IN THE FIRST LOT BEFORE THE STADIUM IF GATE IS OPEN, OR GO PAST THE STADIUM AND USE THE NEXT LARGER LOT ON LEFT.

 FROM RT. 93 OR MEDFORD, TAKE MYSTIC VALLEY PARKWAY INTO SOMERVILLE TOWARDS ARLINGTON, STAY LEFT ON RT. 16 WHERE MYSTIC VALLEY PKWY FORKS TO RIGHT, AND RT. 16 BECOMES ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY. FIELD IS JUST AHEAD ON RIGHT, AFTER THE STADIUM.
